BANCOI JOINS TO CELEBRATIONS FOR THE BANKER’S DAY

On October 13, 1960, the nascent revolutionary government enacted Law 891, in which the banking function was declared public and 890 foreign and national banks were nationalized in Cuba. 56 years later and as every October 13, Banco de Inversiones S.A. joins the celebrations of the National Banking System in tribute to that date, in which the banking in Cuba was nationalized, collected in the history of our country since then like the Day of the Banking Worker.

On this 56th anniversary, Bancoi honored each of his shrewd workers in a political-cultural act in the Hemicycle of the Universal Art Building of the National Museum of Fine Arts, which had as an anteroom an instructive guided tour through the exhibitions of this museum. At the ceremony held on October 13, the workers of Bancoi who accumulated closed years of services in the banking system deserved to be given stamps, recognitions and flowers. In addition, an emotional special recognition was given to the comrade María Rodríguez Castro, who has spent 40 years dedicated to the National Banking System.

A special moment of the activity was the birth of a tradition of Banco de Inversiones S.A.: the first installment of the Bancoi Reconnaissance, a newly created trophy that recognizes the workers' loyalty to the bank. The ceremony continued with the signing of the Code of Ethics of Workers and Directors and concluded with the performance of the talented children of the music school Paulita Concepción.

This activity was a stop in the action plan of Banco de Inversiones to celebrate the Banker's Day, which will run until November 26 of this year, when the Day of the Economist is celebrated. Until then, Bancoi is enlisted more than ever, carrying out important missions related to the changes that take place in the country's economy and that demand great commitment and high professional level.
