FOREVER FIDEL

The commotion in Cuba was general the night of November 25th, 2016, as it was announced the sad new of the death of Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz, undisputed leader of the Cuban Revolution and one of the most charismatic, visionary and human figures of history. The sadness overwhelmed everyone, but even at that moment the Cuban people knew that deep down they only said goodbye to their mere physical presence. Then Bancoi joined the sea of people who attended the Memorial "José Martí" to pay posthumous tribute to the highest figure of the Cuban revolutionary process and sign the oath to fulfill his concept of Revolution. From that moment on, Fidel's example has been the constant guide and motivation to be better and better.
The appointment a year after the physical disappearance of the Eternal Commander was unpostponable. At 4:00 p.m. and as a sign of deep respect, the collective of Banco de Inversiones S.A. met on the terrace of the headquarters to pay tribute not to the man who died, but to the giant who lived and left his indelible mark on the history of the Revolution.
In the political-cultural activity the poem "My Dear Commander" was read and some of the multiple virtues and works of the Leader of the Revolution were reviewed, along with the projection of a rich sequence of images of Fidel. During the ceremony beautiful flowers were placed to the gigantography of the Commander at the Bank headquarters and the song "Riding with Fidel" was dedicated to him, from the voice and guitar of a worker from the center.
In addition to this activity, the Social Networks Group of Bancoi joined the intense action deployed in cyberspace on this date, providing a "tweet" with images and evocative messages to the Commander and the use of the hashtags #YoSoyFidel and #PorSiempreFidel.
These activities are part of a commemorating plan that began on Friday, November 17th, with the participation of a representative group of workers in the Conversation with founders of the Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (CIGB) and concluded on Tuesday 28th with the guided tour of another part of the collective to the University of Havana. In the first a meeting with founders of the CIGB was held on their experiences with Fidel, from the opportunity they had to meet him personally because of the visionary character of the Commander and the special attention he always paid to the development of the biotechnology sector in the country. In the second, the workers toured emblematic places of the university where he was trained and became Marxist-Leninist and revolutionary, passing through the Aula Magna and the Alma Mater staircase, which was witness of the young Fidel's speeches and just a couple of days ago of the political-cultural evening for the first anniversary of his physical disappearance.
In this way and twelve months after his departure for eternity, Bancoi recalls the figure of the Leader of the Revolution and reaffirms more than ever the validity of his ideas and his permanent teaching that it is possible.
